I love this app so far! One suggestion...for the list view give the option to show a rolling 30 days in the future. For example, if the current date is October 20th let me see all calendar items left in October plus 19 days into November.

It would always be visible and let you know when the next event is ("in X minutes/hours/...") and what the event it.
